Nottingham Tips

Nottingham is a flat, left handed flat racing track with a run-in of over four furlongs. There is also a six furlong straight course for sprint races. Nottingham Racing Tips should take the draw into account, particularly over five and six furlongs. Statistics show that high numbers hold the advantage in sprints but this is reversed in races over a mile where the runners take a turn into the straight.

Richard Fahey and Michael Appleby top the trainer tables numerically over the last three years. Punters seeking better value should take note of the stables of Mick Channon and Scott Dixon. Both trainers have yielded a healthy profit to a level stake. Local trainer Dixon has done well to achieve a near 100% level stakes profit from just over fifty runners in the same period. Ralph Beckett’s runners also have a good record at Nottingham.

Top of our Nottingham betting tips is jockey Jim Crowley who has recorded a formidable 33% strike rate and a 90% level stakes profit. Sean Levey also returns a high percentage of winners here while Andrew Mullen does well in handicap races.

 

Nottingham Racecourse

Nottingham racecourse is situated only two miles from the city centre within the 280 acre Colwick Park. The course is clearly sign posted for traffic arriving from the North (A60 or A612), South (A60 or A453), East or West (A52). Rail passengers arriving at Nottingham Station should take a taxi for the two-mile journey to the racecourse.
